Salesforce.com launches Mobile Lite for iPhone

This week, Salesforce announced the launch of Mobile Lite for iPhone. This is their second iPhone application and first that will be available for free via the iTunes App Store. The full version of Salesforce’ iPhone application costs $50 per user per month ,whereas Mobile Lite is available at no additional charge to Professional Edition, Enterprise Edition and Unlimited Edition customers.

The major difference between the full application and Mobile Lite is the lack of support for custom objects. Otherwise, Mobile Lite users can log calls, create, complete and update activities and events, schedule meetings, look up information and more.

I wanted to review Salesforce Lite, but unfortunately, I was unable to find it in the App Store and my company uses Group Edition which Mobile Lite does not support.

Drop us an email if you have an opportunity to try it out.  Follow iPhoneCTO on Twitter for more frequent updates.

$30 per month per user is not going to fly. I love Salesforce but the Mobile Version is priced way too high. Time to look for an alternative solution.
