Yes, it is recognized (at many airports; not all yet….you’ll have to see if your departing city has it). Security has a scanner; they just scan the code on your phone, your info comes up, show them your id and you’re through. Same with the person standing at the plane before you board; they have scanners and do the same thing. I’ve used it and it’s VERY handy. I wish ALL the airlines were doing it EVERYWHERE.

Saw someone use it at Milwaukee airport….Saves printing the paper boarding pass and also makes a great backup in case one loses the paper boarding pass.

I don't see the point of this application. It's not making airport check-in any quicker. People will still be waiting in long lines to check their bags, long lines for security, and long lines for boarding. So the system really remains the same..

I hadn't heard about this and it sort of surprises me considering all the security mandates that have taken place in the recent years. That's technology I guess.
