It’s no mystery that IT departments have been reluctant to support let alone deploy iPhones en masse. Whether due to the fact that Blackberry is perceived to be the gold standard in enterprise mobility or iPhones were too cool to be taken seriously, things are changing and changing rapidly.
Enter Good Technology. This week at the CTIA Wireless conference, Good announced Good Mobile Control for iPhone. Now, IT managers will have a powerful set of enterprise management tools for managing iPhones as well as other mobile devices. These include:
* Provisioning email access over the air
* Configure Wi-Fi and VPN settings
* Manage passwords (policy enforcement)
* Remotely wipe all data
Good Mobile Control should be available sometime this quarter.
